The industry needs a reset
How UDJC Began
The United Dressage and Jumping Club was born out of frustration — and vision.
After years of watching riders struggle with overpriced, overly political, and outdated show systems, we knew something had to change. Riders were being priced out. Young horses weren’t being developed correctly. And the focus had shifted away from good riding and thoughtful progression.
We didn’t set out to fix the existing system – because it's impossible – we built a new one from the ground up.
UDJC began with a simple but powerful idea: create a nationwide organization that is affordable, professional, and focused on education, structure, and real competition. We designed every detail — from judging systems and qualification rules to new class formats and feedback — with one goal in mind: helping riders and horses get better!
What started as a bold idea quickly turned into a fast-growing movement. Today, UDJC hosts shows across the country, drawing riders, trainers, and breeders who are ready for a better way to show.
Because at UDJC, it’s not just about ribbons — it’s about raising the standard for what our wonderful sport can be…

What We Stand For
Our Commitment to Horses, Riders
& the Future of the Sport
The United Dressage and Jumping Club (UDJC), believes that horse sport should always honor the well-being of horses, the safety and development of riders, and the inclusion of every individual who shares our passion. Our commitment to welfare and fairness is woven into every part of our competition system, from class formats to judging standards to community values.
Horse Welfare
At UDJC, the horse always comes first.
We encourage ethical training, responsible progression, and positive show experiences at every level.
Horses are never pushed beyond their readiness, and good horsemanship is valued over competitive results.
Humane treatment, appropriate development, and respect for the horse’s physical and mental well-being are non-negotiable.
